Meet the Artist

Hey, I’m Amanda Palmer, the hands behind Red Hill Roots Studio!

I create artwork inspired by the natural world and everyday beauty, always with a twist of imagination. My goal is simple: to craft pieces that bring joy and curiosity into your home—artworks that are as enjoyable to look at as they are to touch.

Art has always been part of who I am. What began as summer days learning new techniques from my brother grew into a lifelong passion for creating work that connects people with nature and creativity. For five years I poured that love into making clay earrings under the name Stick By You Boutique. Eventually, I felt called to close shop and focus on the art I truly love. My ideas are endless—no trends to follow, just my favorite mediums (clay, watercolor, gouache, photography, ink, and graphite) and the inspiration that comes to mind. That’s how Red Hill Roots Studio was born. Since my teenage years, my dream has always been to be an artist, and now I’m finally chasing that dream in my own way.

I find inspiration in the textures and details of nature. Each piece reflects what captures my eye—whether it’s the curve of a mushroom, the play of light in a photograph, or the rhythm of a hand-drawn design. My work is playful, peaceful, and thoughtfully detailed, always created with care and love. Every piece begins with a spark—an idea or something I notice in the world around me. From there, I bring it to life with one of my favorite mediums. Everything is handmade, and no two works are ever the same—each carries its own personality and story.

I believe art doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. It can remind us to slow down, notice the details, and celebrate the beauty around us. Creating is my way of sharing that reminder with others. I’d love for you to explore my latest work and join me on this journey.
